Anil Kumble talks about MS Dhoni: Chennai Super Kings recently published the retention list for the IPL 2024, and the fans are happy to see what they wanted to see: the name of one and only Mahindra Singh Dhoni on the list. With the list out, it’s almost certain that the ‘Thala’ would lead the ‘Yellow Army’ in contention for their sixth IPL title.
But former Indian spinner and the current head coach of the Punjab Kings, Anil Kumble, has something else to say. He thinks that Dhoni, who underwent surgery very recently, may not get enough time to get back into fitness before the cricket league in the world sees the white flag. But he also thinks that if Mahi is ready before the season, he will probably play the whole season.

“Dhoni is someone who will not give you any clue about when he is going to leave. We have seen that with the way he left international cricket. He recently underwent knee surgery. It will be difficult for him to recover, but I am sure if he is ready and if he makes himself ready, he will play the full season.” Kumble said.
As per the Anil Kumble talks about MS Dhoni, He also noted that, even though Dhoni wasn’t a hundred percent fit in the last season, he managed to perform brilliantly behind and ahead of the stumps.
“I think last year was a classic example. We all know he was not 100 percent fit, but yet he managed to be at his best behind the stumps and in front of the stumps. However, it will not be easy.”

Last IPL season was expectedly the final time we thought we would ever see the legendary captain wearing the yellow jersey. But surprisingly, the captain filled the fans with joy by announcing that he may play one more season, which brings us to the current situation. If Dhoni bounces back from the injury and leads CSK to another victory, wouldn’t it be the best ending for a chapter that is filled with tremendous glory?
