On the other hand, the Dubai Capitals went into their Eliminator match without some of their biggest names but ended up thrashing the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders by 85 runs on the back of Sikandar Raza and captain Sam Billings.

While it is true that a team’s form throughout the tournament goes out the window as soon as the playoff stage starts, it is always difficult to shed the memories of a team’s last match. While Dubai Capitals won the Eliminator against the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders convincingly while being the underdogs, the Gulf Giants were thrashed by the MI Emirates in Qualifier 1, becoming the first team to make it to the ILT20 2024 final.
With that being said, Dubai Capitals will still miss their regular captain David Warner and keeper-batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz. But they didn’t seem to miss them too much. The Giants’ batting also showed their ability to collapse against the Emirates.
On this ground, the team batting second has a distinct advantage, so the winner of the toss might be the favourite to win. But if other factors are considered, Dubai Capitals will be the favourites to win Qualifier 2 and make it to the finals.
