As per India Squad For WTC Final 2023, Ajinkya Rahane, a middle-order batsman, has been selected for the squad after more than a year since his last Test match during India’s tour of South Africa.

Shreyas Iyer, who had replaced Rahane, has been excluded from the squad due to a back injury. Additionally, Suryakumar Yadav did not make it to the final squad.
The squad includes spinners Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Axar Patel, along with quick bowlers Shardul Thakur, Mohammad Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Umesh Yadav, and left-armer Jaydev Unadkat.
Jasprit Bumrah is unable to participate due to his ongoing recovery from a back injury.
In the 2021 final of the World Test Championship, Rahane scored 49 and 15 in the match against New Zealand, which resulted in a defeat.
Starting from June 7th, India will compete against Australia at The Oval in London for the World Test Championship mace.
