FIFA U-20 World Cup Updates: Indonesia Removed As Host Of FIFA U-20 World Cup 2023
After a meeting between FIFA President Gianni Infantino and President of the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) Erick Thohir, FIFA has made the decision to Indonesia Removed As Host Of FIFA U-20 World Cup 2023 due to current circumstances. The tournament dates will remain unchanged, and a new host will be announced soon. There may be potential sanctions against the PSSI at a later stage.

FIFA wants to emphasize that even though Indonesia Removed As Host Of FIFA U-20 World Cup 2023, it is still dedicated to helping the PSSI in transforming Indonesian football after the tragedy that happened in October 2022. With the support of President Widodo’s government, FIFA will work closely with the PSSI under the leadership of President Thohir. Members of the FIFA team will be present in Indonesia in the upcoming months to provide the necessary assistance.
A follow-up meeting between the FIFA President and the PSSI President will be arranged soon for further discussions.
