On Monday night, during an IPL 2023 match against the Lucknow Super Giants at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Faf Du Plessis Fined For Slow Over-Rate. The incident occurred in Bengaluru.

Faf Du Plessis Fined For Slow Over-Rate, Due to their slow over rate, RCB received an on-field penalty. They were unable to commence the 20th over before the cutoff time and had to bring in an additional fielder inside the circle, resulting in only four fielders outside.

“The Royal Challengers Bangalore have been fined for maintaining a slow over-rate during their TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match 15 against the Lucknow Super Giants at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, on Monday,” – the IPL said in a statement.

“As it was the team’s first offence of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, captain Faf Du Plessis Fined For Slow Over-Rate fined was Rs 12 lakhs,” – it added.

Avesh Khan, the pacer of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), has been reprimanded for violating the Code of Conduct.

In the final delivery of the game, Avesh, who was the No.11 batter, completed the winning run and was observed throwing his helmet on the ground.

The right-handed pacer accepted the sanction after admitting to level 1 offence 2.2 of IPL’s Code of Conduct. It is important to note that for Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the decision of the Match Referee is final and binding.

In an exciting IPL 2023 match, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) secured a one-wicket victory against Royal Challengers Bangalore, marking their second consecutive win.

In IPL 2023 Faf Du Plessis Fined For Slow Over-Rate but Lucknow Super Giants were able to achieve a sensational chase in the last over of the match, thanks to Marcus Stoinis (65 off 30) and Nicholas Pooran (62 off 19) who hit RCB hard. Prior to that, RCB’s top order, including Virat Kohli (61 off 44), Faf du Plessis (79 not out off 46), and Glenn Maxwell (59 off 29), had propelled them to a total of 212/2 in 20 overs.
