Lara chooses Shubman Gill to break his record: India’s rising star Shubman Gill just got a ‘heavy’ compliment from one of the legends of the game, Brian Lara. The Caribbean thinks that the youngster will break his record of 400 runs in international cricket.

Lara’s 400* runs were against England in 2004. He also holds a record of 501 in a county match. He scored this for Warwickshire, playing against Durham in 1994.
There is a reason why Lara picked Shumban Gill as the one who could break his record. Gill already became the youngest Indian to score a century in all formats of the game.
