During the discussion, Ronaldo dropped his goal on the field ahead to become the first player to reach the momentous 1,000-goal tally.
“Soon I will do 900, and after that it will be 1,000,” said the determined Ronaldo.
A stunned Rio asked him back in his usual tone, “F****** hell, how old you going be then?”
Ronaldo answered, “41, I don’t know. If I don’t have injuries, that is most important, I want that.”
CR7 went on talking, and now he threw some shade on other top scorers in world football like Pele, Di Stefano, etc. in terms of the proof of goals.
“My challenge is to reach 1,000 goals, with one difference—all the goals that I score will have video. So I can prove that.”
Ronaldo’s dig cracked Ferdinand up. He swore at his friend, laughing.

Ronaldo, putting the jokes aside, said that he respects all of them, with more puns on the way.

According to the World Guinness Record, Pele has scored 1,279 goals in his career. But a lot of them were non-competitive goals in friendly matches and at junior levels. As per the latest rule, the goals that you score at the competitive senior level will only be counted. So by this rule, Pele’s goal numbers would end at 757 (680 for the club and 77 for Brazil).
Even at the age of 60, Cristiano Ronaldo is in blistering form, scoring over 60 goals last season, ending as the world’s top scorer. So if CR7 went on to touch the magical 1000-goal mark, no one would be surprised.
