During the match, thrilling Pakistan victory as records and several records were broken. Fakhar became the fourth Pakistani batter to hit three consecutive ODI centuries and also became the fastest player from Pakistan to reach 3000 ODI runs.

Pakistan’s men’s team achieved their fourth-highest ODI score of 337/3 and also completed their second-best run chase.

Although skipper Babar Azam (68) and experienced batter Mohammad Rizwan (54*) contributed to the thrilling victory, it was Fakhar who emerged as the star of the show. The dynamic left-hander continued his impressive form in a destructive manner, stealing the limelight.

In response to New Zealand’s impressive score, Pakistan required an exceptional performance from Fakhar. Daryl Mitchell’s outstanding century (129) and captain Tom Latham’s crucial knock (98) had helped New Zealand set a formidable target, making it imperative for Pakistan to step up their game.

Pakistan Victory As Records seemed to be on track for a comfortable win as Fakhar and Babar were batting and the score was at 200/1. However, the captain of the home team was dismissed, and shortly after, Abdullah Shafique (7) was also out, giving New Zealand a chance to turn the game around.

After Fakhar’s dismissal, Rizwan joined him at the crease, and the experienced duo worked together to guide the home side to victory, securing a 2-0 lead in the five-game ODI series for Pakistan.
