Top XI Players from IPL 2023 Teams That Did Not Make It to The Playoffs. On Sunday, May 21, the league stage of IPL 2023 came to an end with two exciting matches. Sunrisers Hyderabad ended up at the bottom of the table after losing to Mumbai Indians. Mumbai Indians had to win the match to stay in the tournament, and they also needed the Gujarat Titans to beat the Royal Challengers Bangalore to qualify for the playoffs.

Regrettably, Royal Challengers Bangalore was eliminated from the tournament after losing to Gujarat in the final over. As a result, Mumbai Indians progressed to the knockout stages, surpassing RCB.

This year’s top four teams of the league stage are Gujarat Titans, Chennai Super Kings, Lucknow Super Giants, and Mumbai Indians.

In addition to the franchises mentioned earlier, the other six teams also played some thrilling matches during the league stage. Despite failing to produce consistent results as a team and being eliminated, several individuals stood out and excelled in their respective roles.

Below is the Top XI Players from IPL 2023 Teams that failed to qualify for the playoffs:

Faf du Plessis and Yashasvi Jaiswal – Openers

According to Top XI Players from IPL 2023 Teams that failed to qualify for the playoffs, The opening innings of this best XI features Faf du Plessis and Yashasvi Jaiswal, who both showcased exceptional performances for their respective IPL franchises in 2023.

With 8 fifties, Faf holds the record for the most fifties in the league phase of the tournament. He also scored the most runs in the 70 group-stage matches, with a total of 730 runs and an impressive average of 56.1. Additionally, Faf takes on the role of captain for this imaginary team.

Perhaps the most impressive discovery of the season, Jaiswal outshone many of the league’s top batsmen, including his teammate Jos Buttler, despite being an uncapped 21-year-old.

During his time with the Rajasthan Royals, he achieved a remarkable strike rate of 163 and scored a total of 625 runs. He also accomplished his first IPL century and set a new record for the fastest IPL fifty, achieving it in just 13 balls against KKR.

Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, Heinrich Klassen (WK), and Rinku Singh – Middle order

According to Top XI Players from IPL 2023 Teams that failed to qualify for the playoffs, Despite his unfulfilled dream of winning the trophy for the 16th season, Virat Kohli proved to be an exceptional batter and one of the top performers for RCB, alongside Faf du Plessis.

With a total of 639 runs and an impressive average of 53.25, the former captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore proved to be a dominant force in the majority of RCB’s games. He achieved six fifties and two consecutive centuries, solidifying his position as a top performer.

Included in this best XI list is Glenn Maxwell, another talented player from RCB. Throughout the season, the “Fab 3” consisting of Faf, Kohli, and Maxwell, led the Bangalore franchise with their consistent and impressive performances.

Maxwell has now surpassed the 400-run milestone for the third time in his 11-year IPL career. In the 2023 season, the Australian achieved an average of 33.33 and an impressive strike rate of 183. He also accomplished five fifties, which is the second-highest number of fifties he has achieved in a single IPL season.

Top XI Players from IPL 2023 Teams

Batting at No. 5 and also serving as the wicketkeeper for this team is Heinrich Klassen from SRH. Despite the team’s significant failures, the South African batter proved to be an outstanding performer for SRH.

According to Top XI Players from IPL 2023 Teams that failed to qualify for the playoffs, Klassen proved to be the ultimate rescuer for the Hyderabad team, scoring an impressive 448 runs in only 11 innings with a strike rate exceeding 177. Following him, Rahul Tripathi emerged as the second-best batsman for SRH, accumulating 273 runs in 13 innings.

The middle order of the best XI is completed by Rinku Singh from KKR. The southpaw finally got an opportunity to showcase his skills to the world and he made the most of it. He played a crucial role in KKR’s historic run chase against GT by smashing five consecutive sixes.

Rinku has evolved into a dynamic finisher who has single-handedly won numerous games for KKR. Overall, the 25-year-old amassed 476 runs with a remarkable average of almost 60 and an impressive strike rate of 149.53.

Axar Patel, Varun Chakravarthy and Yuzvendra Chahal – Spinners

At the Delhi Capitals camp, Axar Patel emerged as the top performer, showcasing exceptional skills as an all-rounder, especially with the bat. Despite batting lower in the order, he scored an impressive 283 runs at an average of over 28.

This season, Axar proved to be a valuable asset for DC, finishing as the second-highest run-scorer and the second-highest wicket-taker for the team. He also had the best economy rate of 7.19 among all DC bowlers, having taken 11 wickets in 13 innings.

Let’s talk about the exceptional bowlers of the best XI, Varun Chakravarthy and Yuzvendra Chahal, who delivered outstanding performances in IPL 2023. Both spinners finished among the top five wicket-takers of the season.

KKR’s Chakravarthy had a disappointing IPL 2022, but he bounced back this time and emerged as the top bowler for Kolkata. In 14 innings, he took an impressive 20 wickets at an average of 21.45, which is his best-ever tally in any IPL season.

Yuzvendra Chahal carried forward his impressive wicket-taking form for Rajasthan from IPL 2022 to IPL 2023. The leg-spinner concluded the league phase of IPL 2023 as the second-highest wicket-taker, having taken 21 wickets at an average of 20.57.

Chahal also stepped up to take on the responsibility of death bowling, showcasing his versatility as a bowler. He managed to take 11 out of his total 21 wickets for the season between overs 16 and 20.

Trent Boult and Mohammed Siraj – Pacers

As per Top XI Players from IPL 2023 Teams that failed to qualify for the playoffs, Trent Boult and Mohammed Siraj are the two pacers in the XI who were exceptional for their respective teams. They made crucial breakthroughs for their sides early in the game.

During his second season with RR, Boult managed to take 13 wickets in ten innings with a strike rate of under 18 and an economy rate of 8.21. However, RR preferred Adam Zampa over Boult on slower tracks. Despite this, Boult had a good track record of success.

At number 11 of the best XI is Mohammed Siraj, RCB’s exceptional speedster. As per Top XI Players from IPL 2023 Teams that failed to qualify for the playoffs, He was the top-performing Indian pacer this season, putting his heart into every game and delivering some thrilling fast bowling attacks.

With 19 wickets at an average of under 20, he performed remarkably well. Siraj bowled challenging overs for his team, yet his economy rate of 7.5 was commendable.
